The faculty participate with the residents on a daily basis in all aspects of patient clinical care, conferences, other educational programs and research projects. The clinical education is based on teams organized around the major orthopaedic sub-specialties and each team is comprised of both residents and faculty members. There are between two and four full time faculty members in all of the sub specialties.
These dedicated faculty members are proud to carry out the heritage of resident education at the University of Iowa in Orthopaedic Surgery that began in 1918 with Arthur Steindler.
